What it is
Plazza is a 128 by 128 pixel canvas held in one contract on Robinhood Chain. Anyone with a wallet can paint any pixel in one of 32 colours. There are no accounts and no moderators: the picture is whatever the crowd paints and keeps painting.
Painting
- Pick a colour, then click or drag over the canvas to queue pixels. Right-drag or hold Space to pan, scroll to zoom.
- Up to 256 pixels go into one transaction. The side panel shows the exact cost before you sign.
- Painting a pixel the same colour it already has is skipped.
- The canvas refreshes every few seconds, so you see other people's strokes as they land.
Price
Each pixel costs 0.00001 ETH. A pixel painted in the last 10 minutes costs double to overwrite; the contract checks this per pixel. The total must match exactly, so the app reads the quote from the contract right before you sign. Gas on Robinhood Chain is a fraction of a cent.
How it's stored
Each pixel is 5 bits (a colour from 0 to 31). 51 pixels fit in one 256-bit storage slot, so the whole canvas takes 322 slots and can be read in a single call to canvas(). Every paint also emits a Paint event with the painter, the pixels, the colours and the amount paid, and the contract counts how many pixels each address has painted.
What the owner can do
- Change the price, only between 0.000001 and 0.001 ETH a pixel.
- Change the owner and treasury addresses.
Fees can be swept to the treasury by anyone. There is no function to erase, reset, freeze or edit the canvas, and no player funds are ever held.
Risks
The contract is unaudited. Anything you paint can be painted over by anyone. Painting is not an investment and earns nothing.
Token
The Plazza token launches on pons. Its address will be listed here and on the home page.
